60th Anniversary - Fellerband Visit Darlington

Monday 21st Oct 2013

Following last year’s successful visit, Fellerband once again visited Darlington in what was to be a Mulheim musical extravaganza month, as Petrikirche choir were here in early October, and Charisma choir were arriving on the same day as them.

Monday night they performed at the Forum and were supported by local singer Hayley McKay and Phil Crumbie and his band Gnarly. Good attendance and a great night with chili and rice supper.

Tuesday at the Quakerhouse was brilliant, with performances from Fellerband and Hayley and Phil, followed by great sing song evening with them and Charisma choir who had come along as guests.
Nigel had arranged for Fellerband and Phil to perform at his local club in Thirsk and this was again a fine evening.

Thursday performance by Fellerband at Avalon.

Charisma choir concert at the Dolphin Central Hall was another great night’s entertainment and Fellerband were invited as guests.
This was followed by dinner, and then everyone moved on to the Quakerhouse for musical night with Fellerband, Hayley, Phil, Charisma and the locals who said it was one of the best nights they had experienced – when are they coming back was the cry!

Saturday evening Hayley and Fellerband performed at the George & Dragon, Heighington, which brought down the curtain on a really great week for the band.
The band stayed an extra day to avoid severe storms in the South which meant ferries were cancelled, and finally arrived home on Monday pleased with their week in Darlington.

They intend to return in the future and we will advertise dates and venues.
