People from all over Tees Valley attended the new year festivities at the Chinese Centre Middlesbrough. The Mayor and Mayoress of Darlington, Tom and Gill Nutt, were invited to attend by Edward Wong a resident of Darlington for over 50 years. Entry of the dragon, dancing and singing and fabulous Chinese food was enjoyed by all. The Mayor spoke about the international links Darlington had, and how delighted they were to be invited to this event.
